Deerfield Financial Advisors, Inc. Announces New Shareholder

We are pleased to announce that Benjamin J. Hockema has become Deerfield’s newest shareholder.  Ben is a Certified Financial Planner® and has been an advisor in our Park Ridge office since graduating from Purdue University in 2010.  While at Purdue, he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics and had double minors in Business Management and History.  This education provided him with a strong foundation to be able to help clients achieve and maintain their financial goals.  Since then, he has gained valuable experience working alongside his mentor, Gary Bowyer, and he has developed into a very astute and capable advisor.

In addition to advising clients, Ben is also responsible for the firm’s marketing initiatives, employee recruitment, and training programs.  He is also active in industry study groups through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and, in 2014, he was selected as an inaugural member of Schwab’s coveted Executive Leadership Program.

In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with family and friends and learning new recipes to use in the kitchen and on his smoker grill.  He is also an avid Cubs and Blackhawks fan and enjoys playing volleyball and golf.

Since joining Deerfield, Ben has made a significant impact on our client experience and most importantly he exemplifies the core values which we hold dear.  We are excited to have him join our ownership team and look forward to many great contributions from him in the future.
